Taki inaugurates State –of –the-Art & Eco Friendly Piggery Farm, District Veterinary Office building

PASIGHAT, January 24: Minister Animal Husbandry, Veterinary & Dairy Development (AHV& DD), Er. Tage Taki along with MLA cum Advisor AHV & DD, Tana Heli Tara have inaugurated & dedicated several projects & infrastructures to the people of the state during their East Siang & LDV tour. The AHV & DD Minister Er. Tage Taki today inaugurated State- of – the -Art & Eco – Friendly Piggery Farm at Berung , 7 kms from here . Taki expressed satisfaction at the timely & successful completion of the project. Funded under CSS -the National Livelihood Mission(NLM) of GoI , the project will go a long away to provide climate controlled health facility, selective breeding & augmentation of production in the piggery sector to benefit the farmers.

Local MLA Kaling Moyong also accompanied the Minister & thanked for the much needed projects for the benefit of the farmers . DC East Siang , Tayi Taggu, Chief Councillor Okiam Moyong Borang, District Veterinary Officer(DVO), Dr.T.Taggu also attended among others.

The Minister also inaugurated the new District Veterinary Hospital here at Pasighat . later, the 

Minister also inaugurated the newly constructed building of SAMETI (State Agricultural Management & Extension Training Institute ) at GTC. With the setting up of the Admin building , the extension & training facilities will be facilitated & promote dissemination of know-how on Extension of Agriculture Technology.Earlier,taking stock of the activities of the department in the district , the Minister stressed on the importance of livestock rearing for the economic upliftment of the farmers of the state. Taki stressed on the need for accurate livestock data of Mithun & Cattles, which will help in updating the growth, livestock health etc .The Minister was briefed by the DVO T.Taggu on the activities undertaken by the AH & DD department. Mithun Mela has also been organized at Mirem Village on January 21-22 , the minister was further informed.
