Jonai ,June 28: Due to heavy & incessant rainfall Rivers & Streams of East Siang are in spate. Vehicle movement on Sille Korong Bridge near Dagoria Baba Mandir on Pasighat –Pangin road has been restricted by East Siang District Administration for safety reasons as portion of approach road at Sille Korong Bridge has been washed way due to heavy rainfall . To provide alternate road connectivity till restoration, DC Tayi Taggu along with SP Sumit Kumar Jha and concerned officials carried inspection and instructed to open the alternate diversion route by mobilizing manpower and machineries through old Pangin- Pasighat road .
Also, commuters have been advised to take MMJ ,Yagrimh, Sille –Mikong-Bilat Roads as thr road between between Yagrung to Remi (Pasighat-Ledum-Tene-Koyu Road ) via Remi Bridge bridge is closed , as the approach road at left bank of Remi Bridge has been eroded by Remi River.
The East Siang District Administration has cautioned people living along river banks & stream to shift to safer locations and also avail safe shelter set by by District Administration. The DA has also asked people to avoid venturing near Rivers and Streams for fishing ,collecting logs & driftwood during Monsoon period.
