DC launches National Voter Awareness Contest

PASIGHAT, Feb 19: East Siang Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer 

Tayi Taggu on Thursday launched a “ National Voter Awareness Contest” on the theme of “ My Vote is my Future-Power of One Vote” to create awareness among people to cast their valuable vote and also to spread the message of importance of every vote in a democracy. While interacting with the media fraternity in his official chamber, Taggu said that every citizen from general public can showcase their 

creativity, flair in arts & crafts and talent and lend their support to the cause. Voting being our Constitutional Right, every vote of the citizen can make a difference in choosing the right leadership, in bringing quality governance, he added. In his message to the citizens, the DEO called upon for whole hearted participation 

of students, youth and general public of East Siang to come forward in large numbers and participate in the National Voter Awareness Contest. He urged all stakeholders including Media, GBs, PRIs members, municipal councilors, BLOs, teachers, members of NGOs, influencers, newly enrolled voters to disseminate the 

message of importance of every vote and encourage as many as to participate in the 

Contest, which is also an opportunity & platform to showcase the skills, creativity and 

talent by emphasizing the power of every vote in democracy Power of One Vote.
