PASIGHAT, September 5: The Two-day seminar on ‘’Faith and Identity: Traditional worldviews and Institutionalized Religions in Arunachal Pradesh’’ was inaugurated today here at upper campus conference hall of JN College, Pasighat in presence of resource persons, College faculty members,student & research fraternity of different universities.

In the inaugural function, Chief Guest Prof. K.C Baral, former Pro-VC, English & Foreign Language University (A Central University), Hyderabad & vice President of Ministry of MAKAIAS said that the seminar has provided a platform for intellectual discourse on our belief system and cultural heritage & identity . 


Kaling Borong, Eminent litterateur and Social worker attended the occasion as Guest of honour. He spoke on the importance keeping alive our own cultural heritage and traditional identity and also old age belief system .

Earlier, Dr. Tasi Taloh, Principal JNC, welcomed the gathering and also paid homage to Dr. Radha Krishnan and Prof. Tamo Mibang on the occasion of Teachers day. He also thanked coordinators Dr. S. Banerjee and Mr. Abani Doley for the  successful session. On the occasion, Abstract Volume was released by the dignitaries.
